Wheel Truing Brake Shoes remove flat spots, uneven ridges, and tread imperfections, while reducing high flanges. Keeping wheel treads and flanges smooth and in optimum condition reduces operation costs, decreases down time, and increases efficiency. Simply choose from the patterns illustrated to find one that matches your current friction brake shoe. Pay attention to the brake head & key pin dimensions, making sure they will fit in your locomotive brake head assembly. Also, select the pattern with correct wheel dimensions to fit on the locomotive wheel. Then select the "cut" you need from the illustration to accomplish your desired results.

Replace your friction shoes with Wheel Truing's abrasive shoes. Apply pressure to quickly and efficiently eliminate wheel defects. After the operation is satisfactorily completed, replace the friction shoes.
